Hoop Dancer, Fire Performer -

Marika is an Inuit hula hoop performer, actress and yoga teacher that has toured across Canada, the U.S and Europe performing, teaching yoga and the art of hoop dancing. In 2014, Marika traveled to Costa Rica to attain her Yoga Teacher Certification, this is where she discovered a new found passion for hoop dance. Through her committed daily practice, she has quickly become one of Canada's top hoop dancers and was recently voted the 2016 Canadian Hooper of the Year. She has dedicated countless hours to her practice and takes pleasure in supporting and inspiring others to pursue their dreams. Marika is proud to represent her Inuvialuit heritage and is currently focusing on acting, performing and teaching opportunities amongst Indigenous communities. She frequently performs at corporate events, banquets, and festivals but mostly enjoys inspiring and working with the youth. Marika is sponsored by Moodhoops and is proud to be a Nike N7 Influencer.
