In 1998, a small group of volunteers decided that a music festival would be a joyful way to get the valley’s residents together, and hopefully help to rebuild its sagging resource-based economy. Listening to live music under the summer sun and the evening stars created some magical memories for everyone that first year. The Discovery Coast Music Festival was born! Since then, we’ve grown into a widely-respected event, incorporating many well-known performers into our line-up, while encouraging local talent and youth to participate in all aspects of its production.

You will bask in the pristine landscape of British Columbia’s Central Coast, as you enjoy intimate performances by award-winning artists from across Canada, served up with the unique hospitality for which we are known. This family oriented event boasts a diverse line-up of music: roots, rock, world, blues, folk and more. Sunday afternoons feature an interactive Children’s Site with special performances for children of all ages.

With plenty of room to lay out a blanket, put up a lawn chair, or dance your legs off, you will be pleased to have made the journey! We welcome you to our celebration of this multi-cultural country!
